Announcing Our CNA of the Year at Sycamore Run: Heather Porter!

Sycamore Run is proud to recognize Heather Porter as our 2024 CNA of the Year!



With just over two years of dedicated service, Heather has made a remarkable impact on our residents and our team. When asked what her favorite part about being a CNA is, Heather shared, “Making an impact on the residents’ lives and providing care. I truly enjoy the one-on-one time—socializing with them and knowing I’m making a difference.”

Her passion for caregiving shines through in everything she does. Heather is known for her compassion, kindness, and ability to connect with each resident she cares for. Her peers recognize her as a true team player, always willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile.

Heather says what she enjoys most about working at Sycamore Run is the teamwork, management support, and the opportunity to get to know and care for new people. “It feels good knowing I’m part of something meaningful,” she added.

Outside of work, Heather is a proud wife and mom of two. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading in her spare time. Her love for caregiving doesn’t stop here—she plans to continue her journey in healthcare by becoming a nurse.
